Learn to Skate – Introductory Program

Generally geared towards 4 to 5 year old's, with little or no experience. Participants are taught in a group format by a professional coach and carefully trained program assistants.

CanSkate Program

This program is designed to progress skaters through six fundamental stages in which badges will be awarded. Participants are taught in a group format by a professional coach and carefully trained program assistants. This program follows Skate Canada guidelines. Each skater is evaluated regularly and must achieve appropriate requirements to advance.

StarSkate Junior Program

This program is designed for those skaters who have completed the CanSkate program although CanSkate is not a pre-requisite. The program is designed to cover the following areas:

• Free Skate: basic jumps and spins
• Skating Skills: Skaters learn edges and turns
• Dance: Various set pattern type dances (i.e. waltzes and tangos)

StarSkate Senior Program

This program is available to skaters who desire a more dedicated program. Skaters are required to work independently to achieve their four elements (freeskate, skills, dance & interpretive). Private lessons are required. A stroking session will also be provided.

Special Needs Program
